FAQ

Here are some frequently asked questions about our templates. Still have a question? If so, contact us.

What software do I need to edit your templates?

All files are .psd files so you will need a copy of Adobe® Photoshop. We highly recommend using the latest version of Photoshop CC to edit our files. Each file contains separate artboards for front and back designs, so some older versions (pre-CC) may not open the files correctly.

Are your files Mac and PC compatible?

Yes. Any Mac or PC with Photoshop should be able to use our files.

Do I need to be an expert in Photoshop to use these files?

You do not need to be an ‘expert’ per se, but you will certainly need a basic to moderate grasp of Photoshop in order to benefit from some of the more advanced features in these files. You will need to know how to change simple colors and edit layers, smart objects, text and photos. If you’ve never used Photoshop before, these files may be a challenge.

If you do need help, we suggest reading through the tutorial that came with your purchase, or checking out our video tutorials.

I don't have Photoshop. What are my options?

Adobe® offers a free trial of Photoshop for new users. They also offer the Adobe Photography subscription package (Photoshop + Lightroom) for as little as $9.99/month. Well worth the price.

There are other programs available that can open and edit .psd files, however we can not guarantee that all the elements in our files will appear correctly in programs other than Photoshop.

Will I be able to open your files in Adobe Photoshop Elements?

Our files should open in Photoshop Elements, however Elements has certain limitations that Photoshop does not have. Therefore, some features embedded in the files may not work in Elements.

I accidentally deleted my file. Can I re-download it?

Yes. After you purchase a file, you have one year to re-download the file as you wish. In order to do that, you must create an account when you check out.

After one year, you will need to repurchase the file if you need to download again.

If I send you my photos and stats will you design my card for me?

Unfortunately, we do not offer any design or fulfillment services at this time. You’ll have to handle this one yourself.

I don't see certain stats on the back of my card.

The stat lines are merely meant to be a guide for you to use. You can change the stats to reflect whatever you want them to be. just simply change the headers and you’re all set.

I like one card design but it's the wrong sport. What can I do?

Most of our cards (aside from cards that contain sport-specific graphics) can be easily changed to a different sport. Some card designs simply feature a certain sport’s stat lines on the back design. Everything else is relatively neutral. You can always change the stats to reflect your particular sport or the particular stats you want to include. While it’s impossible to include every single stat for every single sport, we hope to at least provide you with a guide so that you can customize the stat lines to your liking.

Can I import .csv files to work with your Dynamic Data features?

Short answer, yes. Dynamic Data does offer the ability to import .csv data into these files. The tricky part is that the data sets need to be formatted in a very specific way. We are working on implementing more Dynamic Data flexibility in our files via spreadsheet and .csv files. Once that feature becomes available we will roll it out.

I'm having trouble figuring out how to customize my card card. Help!

We’ve provided a general tutorial to guide you through the customization process. We’ve also created video tutorials to further assist you. if you are still having trouble customizing a specific element, please contact us and we’ll try and help you out further.

We’ve built our templates to be as easy as possible to customize, but realize some elements may still be difficult for less experienced Photoshop users – so we’re here to help!

Can I resell your templates on my website?

No you can not. The reselling of any of our products, as layered files is strictly prohibited.

What is your refund policy?

Since you are purchasing non-tangible products, are able to preview the file you are purchasing, and will have access to the files once they’re downloaded, unfortunately we can not offer refunds on any virtual items purchased through the site. Therefore ALL SALES ARE FINAL.

I'm a photographer. Can I use your templates for my business?

Yes you can, however you may not resell or transfer our files to your customers as layered PSD files. All files that are transferred to your clients must be flattened images (JPG, TIF, PNG, etc.). If you need more clarification, please see our End-User License Agreement

Do you offer printing?

We do not. You are purchasing digital Photoshop (.psd) files to create custom designs. Printing is not included.

There are multiple print shops online that do specialize in trading card printing. You just need to upload your finished files. Here’s a site that does a good job for a reasonable price:

4over4.com

Can I send your files to a printer or printing website?

You may not upload or send our layered PSD files to any website or printer. All files uploaded or sent to third-party websites or printers, for printing must be flattened files (JPG, TIF, PNG, etc.). If a printer needs a layered PSD file for any purpose, they will need to purchase their own file(s).

For more information, please see our End-User License Agreement.

Can I share your files with one of my co-workers?

You are permitted to save our files on up to 2 computers, operating out of the same location. So for example, if you work in a design studio and need the files on more than 2 computers, you will need to purchase an additional copy of the file for each group of 2.
